taylor + bradley wedding: part I

on friday before the wedding, the bridal party went to the nail salon for manicures and pedicures and then to the hotel (complete with our emergency bridal kit in tow, which thankfully we didn’t have to use!) to have a relaxing evening before the big day!  (sidenote: taylor’s bridal party was so. much. fun.  i seriously love all of these girls so much and loved getting to know them!)  we went out for dinner and drinks and then came back to our suite to hang out, talk, and watch wedding episodes of one tree hill.  it was a totally girly and fun way to spend taylor’s last day/night as a single lady!

beach day in black and white.

last week my very good friend (and one of my bridesmaids!) came to oahu with her family and her lover man.  on sunday i played tour guide and took them to the north shore where we ate acai bowls, lounged at the beach, and drove the scenic route home.  it was perfectly relaxing and so nice to spend good quality time with friends from california!

ohhh and i still have tons of photos to share from taylor and bradley’s wedding weekend!  i have lots of posts planned for this week (including some of reis and my wedding updates)!  there might even be one everyday, people.  a rarity around here i know.

sister day at the drybar.

on thursday before my brother and taylor got married, my sister and i took the bride-to-be out for a fun sister day in LA getting blow outs at the adorable drybar in west hollywood.  that place is the cutest ever; from the decor to the “menu” — everything is themed like a real bar — so cute and creative!  we also went out to lunch at joan’s on third (a recommendation from my good friend janelle) and it did not disappoint.  i only wish i lived closer so that i could frequent both of these places more often!  such a fun and relaxing day getting to spend time with two of my favorite people.

an exciting weekend.

coming to california is always so much better when this guy comes with me.

tomorrow my not-so-little-anymore brother is getting married and we could not be more excited for him and his lovely bride.  i love all weddings, but i especially love weddings of the people closest to me.

see you next week with lots of photos and posts (hopefully)!

a celebratory weekend: part II.

i’m pretty sure i slept a total of about 4 hours during memorial day weekend.  between a red-eye flight on friday (where i try so very hard to sleep the whole 5 hours but never can!), having my best friends over until 1 am on saturday, and going out for taylor’s bachelorette party on sunday, it’s a pretty valid statement.  right after the bridal shower, we took taylor out in a swanky limo to LA for a night of dinner and lots of dancing.  we ate at the well-known and super delicious restaurant, bottega louie.  (and obviously had a photo shoot in our 30 minute wait).  the whole weekend was SO much fun (and completely worth the lack of sleep).  i loved spending so much time with the bride-to-be and her super sweet bridal party!  i cannot wait for their wedding!

a celebratory weekend: part I.

during memorial day weekend, my sister and i threw a bridal shower for our brother’s beautiful fiancé taylor.  it was an amazing non-stop weekend and we also went out for her bachelorette party!  (plus my sis managed to sneak in a surprise mini engagement party for me with my best friends from high school!)

for taylor’s shower, we went with a “CAbi” theme since taylor is a consultant for the clothing company.  everything was pink and feminine and very theme oriented (i.e. we had peach bellinis called “cabi-llinis”).  we loved planning all of the little details and we are so excited to gain this gorgeous girl as our sister in 2 weeks!  she’s a special one, that girl.  well done, brother.
