*so i still have SO many photos of friends’ apartments/houses/spaces that i have yet to share on here! i kind of forgot about them until i recently was going through one of my hard drives and found so many gems! i’m pretty sure most spaces have since been rearranged, new furniture has been introduced, & some people don’t even live there anymore…but who cares, right?

today i’m sharing these photos that were taken over a year ago during one of our visits back to hawaii. our friends brooke & cassandra live on the north shore of oahu in the coolest little bungalow that feels like it’s in the middle of the jungle. i mean, just look what brooke gets to wake up to every morning! total dreamland. both of these gals are extremely talented + successful in their creative fields, brooke as a photographer, and cass a clothing designer/seamstress. they are also the founders of the popular lifestyle brand roam hawaii. their cozy home reflects their laid back lifestyle and i love how it feels so secluded from the rest of the world!

WALLS | KYLE + ALANA’S ISLAND ABODE

today i’m excited to share with you the home of two of our friends on the north shore of oahu, kyle + alana! we saw them during our visit a few months ago and they let me snap some photos of their place. both of them were born and raised in hawaii and are extremely talented at what they do. she co-owns the rad jewelry company thread and stone and he is a graphic + clothing designer. their home is so well curated and i love how it reflects their personal aesthetic. so many beautiful vignettes everywhere you look! the white paneled walls, wood floors, all of the plants, and their chic tropical accents make it the perfect little island abode. i’m kind of in love with what they’ve done with the place. thanks kyle and alana!

HAWAII VACAY

it’s been a few months…but i’m finally getting around to sharing some photos from our trip in may to hawaii! this summer has been filled with lots of design + wedding filming + editing, so going through the 5 million photos i took on our trip got thrown to the back burner.

anyways! we galavanted all over the island going on all sorts of adventures. reis’ dad has the coolest zebra dingy that we took out to the kanohe sandbar one morning. i’m not quite sure how i’d never been out to the sandbar before, but it’s incredible! it’s pretty amazing being in the middle of the ocean walking on sand with a perfect view of the majestic ko’olau mountains (jurassic park, anyone?). later on during our trip we somehow decided that swimming with sharks would be a good idea. our friend kaiwi owns a bout tour business in hale’iwa and took us out for a joyride one afternoon. before i knew it, everyone was jumping in the water to swim with these terrifying creatures. there was no way i was going in. peer pressure eventually got the best of me and i ended up jumping in for approximately 1 minute and 30 seconds. it was an adrenaline rush for sureeeee. we also ventured into town for a couple of days and visited our old stomping grounds (my fave coffee shop!), old house, and good ol’ waikiki. our good friends duke and karla flew in for the week from the big island so we all stayed together on the north shore and had the best time. we don’t get to see them enough! naturally karla was my muse for the week and i took lots and lots of photos of her gorgeous self.

another week in paradise well spent. we’ll be back soon, hawaii!

we recently went on a trip to hawaii (photos to come!) and i got to hang out with ava sky hawaii while we were visiting! ava sky is a clothing company based in honolulu (sister company to fighting eel) and they have such comfortable + chic pieces that are versatile for multiple occasions. i got to prance around in this black jumper gili one afternoon and chat a little about what i do. go check it out and also take a peek at their new summer 2014 line! thanks for having me ladies!

2014 HAWAII CALENDARS FOR SALE!

so i know i’m a little late to the calendar party, but this 2014 hawaii calendar just went up in my shop! i was designing some calendars for gifts this year using photos from the past several years of living in hawaii and i figured why not try and sell some!? it’s an 8″ x 10″ loose leaf calendar (a bulldog clip is included in your purchase!) that you can hang on your wall, pin to your bulletin board, or even frame each month. if you’re interested, head on over to my shop and buy one here!
