i’m going to start talking freelance on the blog. it’s a completely different animal than corporate america and i’ve honestly never been happier. even with the downsides of freelancing, it’s something i’m passionate about so it doesn’t feel like work.
one of the best gifts i got for christmas (i actually won this at our white elephant exchange!) was my day planner! i’ve always been into pen + paper kinds of planners (vs. electronic ones) and i have found them extremely useful in making my life easier and more organized. last week i was feeling super overwhelmed with everything i wanted to get done, that i barely got anything done. i would sit at my computer all day going back and forth between several projects, but not making it very far on any single one and it was driving me crazy. i like to feel like i accomplished something at the end of the day and it felt like i was getting nowhere. enter: my planner. game changer, people. for this week, i wrote down what i wanted to work on for each day of the week and it helped out SO much! i also have been using it to plan out each day’s blog post, work out, and what i’m going to cook for dinner. so far, so good. here’s to planners and trying my best to stay on top of things! happy friday!

[the annual christmas party with my high school girlfriends – guaranteed to be a night of non-stop laughing, lots of dessert, and a hilarious white elephant exchange.]

[another road trip…this time to san francisco –> i love this city!]
now that freelancing design is my full-time gig, i am excited to start sharing my work up in these parts. this particular mood board i created as the initial stage of rebranding the business of a truly talented wedding planner. she has amazing style all around and i am so honored and excited to work on this project. her aesthetic for her company is beautiful (think feminine, classic, organic, elegant, and whimsical) and she has been an absolute joy to work with! can’t wait to share more!
